One of the best things about being a Tolkien fan is meeting fellow Tolkien fans from all over the world anytime, anywhere. You’ll meet people from all walks of life and different cultures and you will find loads of things to have fun with. And to celebrate two hundred posts at the Tolkienist’s Instagram account (hooray!) I’ll share some of the funniest and most interesting pictures I’ve taken since September 19th, 2012.

Having fun with fellow translator and Tolkien expert Lisa Kuppler at, a Berlin radio station. Questions about? The Hobbit. And Second Breakfast is in, obviously.

On business in Hamburg, great weather, nice talks – and a decent pint at this, Bodo’s Boat Bridge (alliteration, here I come ;)) And I almost made it to Mundsburg (Gondor pun!)
