One of the major goals of this website is to offer societies, smials and special interest groups the opportunity of presenting themselves and their wonderful work – from all over the world. The Tolkien community has changed substantially in the last decade due to the influence of the film trilogy by Peter Jackson and found new ways of appreciating life and works of J.R.R. Tolkien. This page is all about this (and quite a few other topics, of course.)

The International Tolkien Fellowship is an organisation which tries to offer all of these groups an opportunity to meet up (digitally and physically) by hosting a mailing list, an event calendar (coming up soon) and a list from all over the world people you can contact as a Tolkien fan. Luckily enough, there will be many people to help out with this and I am very glad that Mithrennaith and FANGORN agreed to become authors for the ITF – they are the co-founders of this wonderful assocation but more about this later!

I will keep you updated about this but would love to acknowledge what great and passionate people are out there, being creative and working as a volunteers (in most cases) all out of a love for literature. Keep up the good work!

Do have a look at our group on Facebook  and our and the News & Publications page on Facebook.
