A sinkhole in Oxford’s Broad Street turns into a Literary Battle

Broad Street, Oxford
Broad Street, Oxford

When a sinkhole appeared on Oxford’s Broad Street one could have easily expected someone to make a quick picture to share on Instagram or an easy quip on Twitter but the faculties and libraries in Oxford are always a good source of both information and entertainment as well.

It fell to the Faculty of English at the University of Oxford’s Twitter acount to open the game, followed by the English Faculty Library – where one of the Tolkien busts can be visited – and the Philosophy and Theology Faculties.

According to the Oxford Mail the repairs will be finished by tomorrow afternoon; however, let’s hope more Oxford institutions chime in 😉

Enjoy 🙂
